Stoicism can be defined as such: the endurance of pain or hardship without the display of feelings and without complaint.

What this means to me, in a nutshell, it is just taking ownership for your own life. This means taking ownership of your reactions, feelings, moods and mindset.

Life happens. There are ups and downs. These ups and downs can really set you back if you let them. Stoicism teaches to be in control of your emotions, mindset and goals. Truly, a life changing philosophy for me.
